Recap and Facebook Predictions for 2019

It’s been a huge year with Facebook, constant updates and questions that keep rolling in!

Let’s start the year off with the questions that I get asked about Facebook. I don’t actually have a 101 primer, however, there are many that keep popping up in my communities and social networks!

Before we start let’s recap the changes that occurred this year inside of Facebook.

1. Massive algorithm update occurred on the 11th January 2018, this affected all business pages, reducing our organic reach to 1% or less.
2. Facebook closed and then re-opened messenger bots.
3. Carousel ads for stories were added. (You now see ads popping up in your stories.)
4. New info and Ads section were added to our pages, letting everyone see your ads and vice versa.
5. They updated Facebook group information (social learning and units).
